It is easy to request service by the Sheriff, but one must realize that the Sherriff’s Deputies have no incentive to provide the sometimes significant efforts for successful process service. In most counties they are the main law enforcement and make this the primary focus. As such, deputies earn a salary that is not impacted by whether they are successful at paper service.
My goal as the 1st District Constable is to maintain the highest serve percentage rate possible. On the rare occasion a paper is not servable, it will be returned only after a minimum of 4 strong, seperate attempts are provided. Returns will include a record of attempts consisting of times, dates, and any new information available.
Process Service Fee’s are $45.00 each. Papers are accepted electronically, mail, or local pick-up, with other arrangements avalible.
